We went to laudenburg today! I was gonna wake up and go with the rouses to church and then go to like the next town over called laudenburg because their town was having a festival and if it’s one thing germans know how to do it’s festivals! But I was like oh I don’t need to turn on my alarm I always wake up early and then my roommate comes in and I hear her in the morning and I was like what time is it and she said 10 till one!!!! I don’t think I have ever slept that long in my entire life!!!! It was so weird! So then I freaked out cuz I thought they were leaving for laudenburg at 1 and I really didn’t want to miss that but it wasn’t until 1:30 so I got ready really quick and got to go! Thank goodness I didn’t miss it I would have been so sad!!!
It was also my first bus/streetcar/train experience so we took pictures to commemorate it!! Very exciting slash not so confusing cuz I just followed the rouses along! When we got there I was completely surprised cuz I was expecting kind of like a carnival, it was definitely a whole town wide garage sale! It was pretty awesome!! I bought ashenputtle (Cinderella IN GERMAN!!!) for only two euros and I also got this super cute watch for only 4 euros and it just opens and closes super easy so I don’t even have to fuss with it when I want to put it on!! I defnitnely got tired realy quick in there though! There was so much stuff and so many people it was a little overwhelming!! Mom would have loved it though I know that for sure!! We also took a little break and there was this celtic band performing and in between there songs they would say some funny stuff in german! It was cool to watch something in another language and hear everyone laughing cuz it made me laugh too even though I had no idea what they were saying!!! I loved it it was so much fun!!
FIRST TRAIN RIDE EVER!!!!! |
So excited for transportation!! |
Taylor Hardman totally made out at the town sale! Two jackets for like 2 euros I think, not too shabby! |
Those kids in the background were intense! They were totally tricking us and moving it when we'd try and get on! And they were like counting in German! It was so fun! |
Again... so much fun! |
Ummm... pretty much the coolest playground of my life!! I want one of these in my backyard when I grow up! |
I think that was all for this day, I’m still trying to do this from memory since I got behind from not having my computatora!!
Luv shannon
